Here is a little taste of some records that we are really digging over here at the shop so far this year. A few reissues including the album Pops De Vanguardia by the Paraguay psych weirdos Jodi and a solo album from Wally Tax who was in the Dutch group garage band The Outsiders. Wally's solo album "Love In" is a great mix of Leonard Cohen and dark hippy folk on bad acid.

List: Ragged Records Favorite Albums Of 2016
2016 has been quite the bummer of a year for all kinds of reasons. We hope that you enjoy these titles as much as we did and don't forget to check out the Spotify Playlist below.

Event: Ragged Records & Ribco Presents Electric Citizen & Horisont
Ragged Records and Ribco are teaming up to bring you a killer night of riffs of gigantic proportions! Riding Easy Record's Electric Citizen are easily one the best doom metal bands around right now, taking the U.S. by storm. Hopping along for the ride with Electric Citizen is Sweden's Horisont. Conjuring up the the ghosts of Rocka Rolla era Judas Priest and Thin Lizzy, this will be their first time on American soil. Trust us, these guys are not to be missed! Their last album Odessey was easily one of our favorite metal records of 2015. Also joining the bill will be Madison's Vanishing Kids, bringing their Doom Gazer sound to the Quad Cities for the first time. This is a show not to be missed! Seriously. Peep out some videos of Electric Citizen and Horisont down below.
